Welcome!

We would be delighted to have you spend your days and nights with us at Coyote Pass RV Park.

Tim and Jeannia Barnett

The Wild Life. You will find abundant wildlife in the vast expanse of the Sonora Desert.  Coyotes, Kit Foxes and Mountain Lions to name just a few.  You will hear the call of the wild down in the wash when the Coyotes get to kicking up some dust! (Never leave you pets outside unattended, you may come back to an empty collar.  Do not attempt to feed the Coyotes as this makes them dependent upon you and when you leave...They Don't.

The Desert.  The desert is a surprisingly fertile place.  Just add water and watch it grow.  The cactus are a wonderful sight to behold, but beware most everything has tremendous thorns.  Should you be unfortunate enough to brush up against one, the stinging may be relieved by using the adhesive side of some tape to remove the pickers.  Tweezers work well also, but sometimes those thorns are difficult to see.

Keeping Healthy.   Water is extremely important that you stay hydrated.  Our wonderful warm weather has a way of draining your system of fluids.  If you feel your lips drying out, your already a quart low and you need to drink water.  We have terrific well water at Coyote Pass RV Park so feel free to imbibe all you want.  We recommend picking up some bottled water and then refill them 1/2 way and freeze them.  Try this because the water comes out of the ground at 92 degrees so you will not find cold water naturally.

Traveling.  Carry water with you for drinking and in case your car overheats.  Be prepared.  Let someone know where you are going.  Never venture into the desert alone.

Shopping. 25 miles west on I-10 is Blythe California for shopping such as K-Mart, Albertson's and Rite Aid.  We recommend that you buy gas in Arizona since the taxes in California always make it more expensive.  35 miles north is Parker which has two grocery stores, a great Chinese restaurant and a fantastic Assembly of God church called Grace.  Continuing north you will find Lake Havasu City home of the London Bridge.  83 miles south of Quartzsite is Yuma which has Walmart, Sams Club, Lowes, Home Depot and access to Algodones Mexico.  If you are traveling south of the border carry two forms of ID with you.  Algodones offers medical, dental and eye glasses at low prices.  Take cash and water with you if you go into Mexico.  120 Miles east on I-10 is Phoenix.

For further information about Quartzsite you may call the Chamber of Commerce at 928-927-5600
